For this small coffee in Villach, Carinthia Austria a fragile appearing shading construction was brought to life. Using out of the shelf building site materials, the shading stands rock solid in every weather condition.

Client This project was developed as part of an ideas competition for a landmark sculpture at the entrance to Kötschach-Mauthen. The task was to design a contemporary, highly visible object that reflects the town’s identity and integrates the claim “So viel mehr.” The sculpture is conceived for roadside placement, designed to be perceived from both directions and from a distance. Only wood and metal were permitted as materials, with requirements for durability, low maintenance, and resistance to weather and snow loads. The design combines modern form language with references to the Alpine context and the municipality’s visual identity.

Client Getting deep into old structures with this project. We adapted the desulated space to inhabit the new owners shop. Cost maximisation and a bright space to work within was the objective.
Excessive use of drywalling kept the over costs low and allowed an easy implementation of a new electrical-, communication- and heating-network.
The usage of cast-asphalt as flooring was level regulating as well as sturdy for everday public usage.

At the Jenner summit station. This is the highest information point and mini exhibition in the Berchtesgaden National Park, all planned with barrier-free access and covid-compliant contactless interactive games.⁠
Every element and every station was planned to enable transport with the cargo gondola to the 1800m high summit station.
